The Road System in the Lakeway/Bee Caves Areas

Texas State Highway 71

Texas State Highway 71 is the closest main roadway to our Austin luxury homes and also a primary throughway for area residents. Originally, the highway was established in the mid-1920s to connect Madagorda Bay with Austin. Now, the highway stretches a full 253 miles between Brady and Blessing, Texas.

It is also along this stretch of road in Bee Caves that you will find The Hill Country Galleria and the Bee Cave Plaza, which houses many fast-casual restaurants, like Pei Wei Asian Diner, Panera Bread and Tony C's Coal Fired Pizza. Just around the corner, the exclusive Falconhead Golf Club features rolling greens designed by PGA Tour Designers.

Ranch to Market Road 620

Ranch to Market Road 620 is the connector between Bee Caves and Lakeway. Traveling North off of Texas State Highway 71, the road runs right behind The Backyard, which is one of Austin's premier outdoor musical venues. A Home Depot is located on the road, as is the Lakeway Regional Medical Center. Lakeway is just a couple of minutes from Bee Caves, and Ranch to Market Road 620 is one of the easiest ways to get there.

State Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360)

The State Capital of Texas Highway is considered by many to be one of the most scenic drives in the Texas Hill Country. One of the highlights of the drive is the Loop 360 Bridge, which is suspended over beautiful Lake Austin. As if traveling the State Capital of Texas Highway for its exquisiteness weren't already enough, this highway is one of the quickest ways from Bee Caves into some of Austin's prime shopping and dining opportunities.

Bee Caves has excellent shopping, although some shops and restaurants are only available within the city. A quick drive up Loop 360 will lead you to The Domain, which is an outdoor mall that redefines the shopping experience. The shopping complex is anchored by several large retailers, like Dillard's and Macy's, as well as some upscale stores, like Michael Kors and Burberry. While you are there, relax with some coffee by a large outdoor fireplace, or feast on sushi at Kona Grill.
